The annual DOCLINE Update was conducted by Maria Collins at the 2011 Medical Library Association Meeting. The most immediate announcement affecting libraries concerned the national maximum cost. Starting May 1, 2011, Resource Libraries are no longer limited by the national maximum of $11. They may now charge based on their cost recovery needs. The removal of the nation maximum was implemented due to the large number of requests received by NLM from Resource Libraries to increase the maximum.
For more information on the DOCLINE Update, read the MLA blog posting by Katie Zybeck. Slides from the DOCLINE update will be posted on the NLM website in the near future. (Source: Network News)
