FDA Allows Emergency Use of IV Peramivir

Citing a national public health emergency, the Food and Drug Administration has authorized emergency use of the experimental intravenous drug peramivir to treat certain hospitalized patients with proven or suspected infection with pandemic A(H1N1) influenza virus.
