PHPartners is the product of a collaboration of U.S. government agencies, public health organizations and health sciences libraries. The August 26 webinar class will cover the website, which will include information on current topics such as Bioterrorism, ongoing projects such as Healthy People 2010, and public health resources including promotions and statistics.

Aspirin Use After Colorectal Cancer Diagnosis May Reduce Mortality in Some Subgroups

The regular use of aspirin after a diagnosis of nonmetastatic colorectal cancer is associated with a lower risk of cancer-specific mortality, according to a report in the August 12 issue of JAMA.

After Monotherapy, Infliximab Topped Conventional DMARDs

The prompt addition of infliximab to methotrexate in patients with early rheumatoid arthritis who did not respond to brief monotherapy produced clinically superior results at 1 year, compared with adjuvant therapy with conventional DMARDs, according to the ongoing SWEFOT trial.
