NIH Issues Draft Stem Cell Guidelines

Valproate May Be Associated With Lower IQs in Prenatally Exposed Toddlers

Children exposed to valproate in utero have significantly lower IQs at age 3 than do children exposed to other antiepileptics during gestation, according to findings from the interim analysis of a large international study.

FDA Grants Reprieve to Unapproved Narcotic Product

The Food and Drug Administration on April 9 backed off from a warning letter it had sent to several manufacturers and will allow an unapproved version of high-concentrate morphine sulfate oral solution to remain on the market.
